ANNISTON — Lajuan Curry hit seven 3-pointers while pouring in a team-high 31 points, and Saks won at Faith Christian on Thursday, 80-67.
He hit four threes in the fourth quarter.
Christian Hall hit three treys en route to 21 points, and Jayden Culpepper added 15 points.
Faith’s Parker Robertson hit five treys while scoring a game-high 35 points. Ean Taft added nine points, and the Lions got eight points apiece from Ethan Taft and Dylan Rogers.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 63, WOODLAND 53: Playing in the Tri County Tournament at home, the TIgers got 14 points from Matthew Wilson, 12 from Lyric Ware and 10 from Cavin Bates.
MUNFORD 75, FAYETTEVILLE 31: Josh Smith and Devin Elder scored 13 points apiece, and Munford improved to 6-4.
Lathan Stephens added 11 points, including two 3-pointers, and the Lions got eight points apiece from Marquell Johnson and Kaydeen Mosley.
Carter Gains paced Fayetteville with nine points.
COOSA CHRISTIAN 77, RAGLAND 52: Sophomore Jaxon Peek made eight 3-pointers on the way to 32 points, and Coosa Christian won in Class 1A, Area 11 play.
D.J. Mackey added 14 points, and J’Alan Terry scored 11.
JACKSONVILLE 57, TALLADEGA 52: Sean Herbert led Jacksonville with 15 points, and the Golden Eagles got 13 from Quinn Weaver. Kamouri Harmon added eight.
Jykavien Wright led Talladega with 14 points, and Braylen Shepard added 11.
Girls
JACKSONVILLE 73, TALLADEGA 53: Jacksonville’s Nevaeh Nicholson hit four 3-pointers on the way to 20 points, three in the second quarter.
Jayci Taylor hit 10 out of 12 free throws on the way to 16 points. Ontarriah Braxton scored 14 points, and Alexis Phillips hit three 3-pointers while scoring 13 points.
Talladega got 19 points from Zae Cunningham and 15 apiece from Jermani Pointer and Jekeria Wilson.
OHATCHEE 47, WELLBORN 18: Ohatchee’s Tabi Davidson hit three 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 13 points.
The Indians also got 10 points from Mollee Barnes and nine apiece from Emily Riddle and Lindsey Zurchin, who hit three 3-pointers.
SPRING GARDEN 74, SAND ROCK 47: Spring Garden’s Ace Austin hit four 3-pointers on the way to 24 points. She also had nine assists, six rebounds and five steals.
Maggie Jarrett added 16 points with four 3-pointers and five rebounds, and Olivia Law had 15 points and nine rebounds.
RANBURNE 51, HARALSON COUNTY 28: Ranburne got 18 points from Brylee Bailey and 17 from Jadie Phillips. Phillips hit three 3-pointers.
SAKS 68, FAITH CHRISTIAN 14: Saks got 17 points and seven steals from Meorri English.
Alonna Crews added 14 points and three steals. JaKailynn Carter’s 12 points came with two 3-pointers and two blocks.
Madison Turner turned in 15 rebounds to go with eight points, five assists, three blocks and two steals. Sania Angel contributed six points, seven rebounds, four assists and eight steals.
