Girls

PIEDMONT 48, RANDOLPH COUNTY 24: Josie Young scored 12 of her game-high 14 points in the first quarter, helping Piedmont to take a 25-1 lead. The Bulldogs led 42-3 at halftime.

Young hit two 3-pointers.

Carson Young also hit two treys on the way to eight points, and Melanie Studdard hit a trey en route to eight points.
Randolph County got 11 points from Lizzie Milam, all in the third quarter. She hit three 3-pointers.

CENTRAL-CLAY 41, RANBURNE 38: Central-Clay’s Ramyah Billingsley hit a 3-pointer on the way to 17 points Mia Lindsey added nine points, including a 3-pointer, and Zykeria Heflin added eight points.

Brylee Bailey led Ranburne with 13 points, and Jadie Phillips added nine. Aubrey Anglin hit two 3-pointers on the way to nine points.  

OHATCHEE 56, WHITE PLAINS 22: Emily Riddle scored all 23 of her points as Ohatchee built a 44-7 halftime lead, and Tabi Davidson scored all 11 of her points in the first half, including three 3-pointers.

Payten Walker added 10 points.

White Plains, missing three starters because of a youth retreat or illness, got 10 points from Brookly Thielker.

CLEBURNE COUNTY 47, WEAVER 39: Hannah Turley poured in 34 points as Cleburne County advanced to the winners’ bracket. She scored 10 points each in the first and third quarters.

Amilya Williams added six points.

Weaver missed four starters, including Aliyah Marks, because of illness and holiday travel. Brenley Russell led the Bearcats with 16 points, including three 3-pointers.

Boys

CENTRAL-CLAY 49, WHITE PLAINS 39: Damauri Whetstone led the Vols with 11 points, and Kevin Cherry added 10, including one 3-pointer.

They also got eight joints (one trey) from Zion Newell and seven from DeShaun Gibbons.

Ethan Turner paced White Plains with 11 points, and the Wildcats got eight apiece from Crew Martin and Cash Pritchett. Martin hit two 3-pointers.

SPRING GARDEN 77, WEAVER 64: Spring Garden’s Connor Bates poured in 29 points, including seven 3-pointers. He hit four treys in the second quarter.

Jacob Welsh added 22 points, 12 in the fourth quarter to help the Panthers fight off Weaver’s attempts to rally.

John Welsh added 16 points, including a 3-pointer.

Weaver got 19 points from Harper Williams, and KeShawn Allen added 17. D.J. Marbury and Phoxton Benjamin scored nine apiece.

OHATCHEE 63, RANBURNE 38: Brayden Collins led Ohatchee with 16, including two 3-pointers.

The Indians also got 15 points from Jake Roberson, 13 from Colby Hester (one trey) and 10 from Alston Carroll 10 (one trey).

Ranburne’s Seth McAdams scored 14 points (two treys), and Aiden Whitman added 13 points (two treys).

FAITH CHRISTIAN 67, CLEBURNE COUNTY 61: Faith got 21 points from Parker Robertson and rallied after falling behind in the first half.

Down 28-20 in the second quarter, the Lions scored 25 of the next 29 points to take a 45-32 lead in the third quarter. Cleburne County narrowed the gap, but Faith never again trailed.’

Robertson’s performance included one 3-pointer. Dylan Rogers hit four to account for his 12 points, and Colin Anderson hit two on the way to 12 points.

Cleburne County’s Matthew Wilson and Cavin Bates each scored 21 points.

Elsewhere

STARKVILLE (MISS.) 54, OXFORD 48: Jayden Lewis led Oxford with 17 points. Chris Latson and Marcus Perry Jr. scored 12 apiece, Perry on four 3–pointers.
