GULFPORT, Miss. — Marcus Perry Jr. had the hot hand for Oxford’s boys on Friday, scoring 23 points to lead the Yellow Jackets past Davidson () 78-51 in the Gulfport Christmas Classic.
Perry hit four 3-pointers, three in the third quarter.
Jaylen Alexander rebounded from a four-point outing against Starkville (Miss.) on Thursday with 18 points Friday, 11 in the fourth quarter.
Jayden Lewis added 15 points for the Yellow Jackets.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 75, CEDAR BLUFF 59: Jesse Gannaway poured in 27 points to go with six rebounds, six assists and three steals as JCA improved to 9-2.
Noah Lee scored 16 points and pulled down 25 rebounds. He also had five assists.
Caleb Stallings added 10 points, and Bryson Dowdey added nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals.
ALEXANDRIA 65, PRATTVILLE CHRISTIAN 30: Playing in the Supreme Courts tourney in Guntersville, Alexandria got five 3-pointers and 23 points from Cole Wheeler.
Quendavion McDowell added 12 points, and Cleat Forrest added 11. Royce Trantham contributed eight points.
Girls
SPRING GARDEN 57, KNOX CATHOLIC 54: Playing in the Greenville (Tenn.) Holiday Tournament, Spring Garden’s Ace Austin hit a step-back 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Panthers to victory.
She drove from the right elbow to the baseline, then popped back before launching the shot.
She finished with 35 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals from Ace Austin.
SAKS 49, ETOWAH 30: Madison Turner scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. and Saks won in the Etowah Blue Devil Classic.
Sania Angel added 10 points and five steals. Meorri English hit 2 of 3 3-point shots and finished with eight points to go with three assists and three steals.
ALBERTVILLE 56, JACKSONVILLE 42: Playing in the Etowah Blue Devil Classic, Jacksonville got 11 points from Neveah Nicholson, who hit two 3-pointers. Alexis Phillips hit two treys on the way to nine points, and Jayci Taylor scored nine points.
CEDAR BLUFF 66, JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 44: Addy Lee led JCA (7-4) with 27 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists.
