Alexander, Oxford boys finish strong in Gulfport. McDowell leads Alexandria to victory at Supreme Courts. Taylor leads Jacksonville girls to victory in Etowah tourney. Jarrett leads Spring Garden girls in Tennessee.

GULFPORT, Miss. — All-tournament selection Jaylen Alexander scored a game-high 20 points, and Oxford’s boys finished in the Gulfport Holiday Classic with a 74-37 victory over Pass Christian (Miss.).

Jayden Lewis added 12 points, and the Yellow Jackets got 11 apiece from Marcus Perry, Jr., and Anthony Bush. Perry hit two 3-pointers.

Oxford finished 2–1 in the tournament.

ALEXANDRIA 55, BREMEN (GA.) 45: Playing in the Supreme Courts tourney in Guntersville, Alexandria’s Quendavion McDowell hit 11 of 15 free throws on the way tio a game-high 27 points.

The Valley Cubs also got nine points from Cole Wheeler, including one 3-pointer.

Girls

JACKSONVILLE 74, SPRINGVILLE 59: Jacksonville’s Jayci Taylor scored a game-high 19 points as the Golden Eagles won in the Etowah Blue Devil Holiday Classic. She hit one 3-pointer.

Neveah Nicholson hit four threes on the way to 16 points, Alexis Phillips scored 14 points, including three treys, and Ontarriah Braxton hit a 3-pointer while scoring 12 points.

SPRING GARDEN 51, UPPERMAN (TENN.) 38: Playing in the Greenville (Tenn.) Holiday Tournament, Spring Garden got 20 points and five rebounds from Maggie Jarrett. She hit six of 12 3-point shots.

Ace Austin contributed 14 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and Olivia Law had eight points and five rebounds.
