Pinto leads the way as Piedmont boys puts up big fourth quarter to rally past Pisgah. MccDowell powers Alexandria boys past Glencoe.

GUNTERSVILLE — Rollie Pinto scored 15 of his game-high 31 points in the decisive fourth quarter, and Piedmont rallied to beat Pisgah 70-60 on Monday.
Down 52-46 going into the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs outscored Pisgah 24-8 in the final period.
Pinto hit four 3-pointers and was 7-for-7 on free throws in the fourth quarter.
Colton Proctor hit one trey and added 11 points, and Cole Wilson’s three treys accounted for his nine points as the Bulldogs improved to 8-2.
ALEXANDRIA 68, GLENCOE 38: Quendavion McDowel scored all of his game-high 26 points on 13 field goals, and Alexandria avenged a loss to Glencoe from earlier this season.
The Valley Cubs gave up 31 fewer points the second time around and led 43-17 at halftime.
Cole Wheeler hit four 3-pointers, three in the first quarter, on the way to 18 points
Grant Smith hit one 3-pointer and led Glencoe with 11 points.
Girls
GLENCOE 44, ALEXANDRIA 29: Kinlee Montgomery scored 12 points to lead Glencoe past Alexandria. She hit one 3-pointer. Payton Gray hit two treys on the way to eight points.
Alexandria got eight points apiece from Allyssa Hunt and Charlee Parris.
WEBB SCHOOL 53, SPRING GARDEN 43: Playing in the Greenville (Tenn.) Holiday Tournament, Spring Garden got 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists from Ace Austin while falling to Knoxville’s Webb School. Maggie Jarrett hit four of six 3-pointers on the way to 14 points.
