ANNISTON — Make it eight wins in a row for Anniston’s boys.

Caleb Ackles led the way with 16 points, and the Bulldogs beat visiting Piedmont 59-53 on Saturday to improve to 11-3 on the season.

Dakyas Baker added 15 points, including two 3-pointers, and Kyree Lewis hit two 3-pointers on the way to 11 points.

Tariq Judkins added eight points, including one 3-pointer.

Piedmont (9-4) got 17 points from Rollie Pinto, who hit three 3-pointers. Ishmael Bethel and Colton Proctor added 12 points apiece, and Proctor hit two 3-pointers.

Cole Wilson hit two treys and finished with eight points.

Anniston led 31-28 at halftime but outscored Piedmont 17-7 in the third quarter.

ALEXANDRIA 64, WEAVER 56: Quendavion McDowell scored a game-high 30 points as Alexandria improved to 14-3. He hit eight of 10 free throws and scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, 11 in the second.

Cole Wheeler had the biggest quarter of all, scoring 17 of his 19 points in the first. He hit all five of his 3-pointers in the first quarter.

Weaver got 16 points from KeShawn Allen, 15 from D.J. Marbury and 14 from Harper Williams.

FAITH CHRISTIAN 87, GAYLESVILLE 42: Colin Anderson scored 17 of his 21 points in the second quarter as Faith won in Class 1A, Area 12 play.

Anderson hit all five of his 3-pointers in the second quarter.

Parker Robertson hit three treys on the way to 19 points and got hot late with 12 fourth-quarter points.

Faith also got 12 points from Tuby Ricard, 11 from Dylan Rogers and 10 from Colton Reese. Rogers hit three 3-pointers.

The Lions hit 12 3-pointers overall.

Gaylesville got 20 points from Collin Hendon and 11 from Karrson Ray, who hit three 3-pointers.

Girls

SPRING GARDEN 60, OXFORD 32: Ace Austin hit four of eight 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 24 points as Spring Garden made it a season sweep of two games against Oxford.

Austin also had eight rebounds, seven assists and seven steals.

Maggie Jarrett hit three treys on the way to 16 points. Kristen Lewis added nine points, and Olivia Law had seven points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

ALEXANDRIA 56, WEAVER 27: Landry Patterson led a balanced scoring effort, hitting two 3-pointers on the way to 10 points.

The Valley Cubs got eight points apiece from Charlee Parris, Zoey Wilson and Allyssa Hunt and seven apiece from Kate Wheeler and Jacee Brooks.

Aaliyah Marks paced Weaver with 13 points, and Brenley Russell added seven.

FAITH CHRISTIAN 50, GAYLESVILLE 8: Anna Kate Robertson poured in 24 points to lead Faith to victory in Class 1A, Area 12 play. Serenity Pate scored nine of her 11 points in the first half.

RANBURNE 42, CLEBURNE COUNTY 8: In a Friday game, Brylee  Bailey led Ranburne with 13 points, and Maranda Ralston added eight.
