OXFORD — Jaylen Alexander scored 26 points Thursday to lead Oxford to a 52-45 victory over Shades Valley in overtime.
The victory bumped the Yellow Jackets up to 16-5 overall, 4-0 in Class 6A, Area 11. Oxford has clinched the right to play host to the area tournament.
Alexander’s night included three 3-pointers.
Oxford also got 10 points from Jayden Lewis and nine from Chris Latson.
ANNISTON 72, CLEBURNE COUNTY 64: Dylan Goodson led the way with 17 points, and Anniston (15-3) scored its 12th consecutive victory. He hit one 3-pointer.
Kyree Lewis hit three 3-pointers on the way to 15 points. Caleb Ackles added 13 points, and Jalkorie Carr hit one 3-pointer while scoring 11 points.
Cleburne County’s Cavin Bates led all scorers with 19 points. Cade Shubert added 14, and Matthew Wilson added 13.
ALEXANDRIA 61, TALLADEGA 52: Cole Wheeler hit three 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 18 points, and Alexandria improved to 19-3.
Quendavion McDowell scored 16 points, and Jaylen Henderson added 11.
Ronson Moten led Talladega with 12 points, including two 3-pointers. Logan Morris added 10 points.
JACKSONVILLE 68, ST. CLAIR COUNTY 47: Aaron Nixon hit five 3-pointers while scoring 17 points, and Jacksonville (11-10) upped to 3-0 in Class 5A, Area 11 play.
Quinn Weaver added 14 points, including two 3-pointers.
WEAVER 79, WELLBORN 56: Kaden Gooden led four Weaver players in double figures with 17 points, and the Bearcats improved to 13-11 Overall, 5-0 In Class 3A, Area 9 play.
Gooden also had nine rebounds.
KeShawn Allen added 16 points 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. Junior Allen scored 13 points and got three steals, and Harper Williams added 11 points with three steals.
D.J. Marbury’s nine points came with four rebounds and four steals.
Gooden and Junior Allen hit two 3-pointers apiece.

JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 82, FAITH CHRISTIAN 57: Jesse Gannaway led JCA (12-4) with 25 points, and the Thunder upped to 4-3 In Class 1A, Area 12.
He hit three 3-pointers and contributed seven rebounds.
Noah Lee scored 24 points and pulled down 22 rebounds. He also had seven assists.
Bryson Dowdey added 16 points, including three 3-pointers.
Parker Robertson led Faith with 16 points, including two 3-pointers. Toby Ricard added 13 points, including one trey, and Colin Anderson’s 12 points included two 3-pointers.
COOSA CHRISTIAN 66, VICTORY CHRISTIAN 59: Kylen Johnson led the Conquerors with 20 points, and they improved to 13-5 on the season. J’Alan Terry added 13 points, and D.J. Mackey scored 12.
Girls
JACKSONVILLE 65, ST. CLAIR COUNTY 16: Ontarriah Braxton hit one 3-pointers while leading Jacksonville with 18 points, and the Golden Eagles improved to 17-6 overall, 3-0 in Class 5A, Area 11.
Neveah Nicholson hit two threes while scoring 14 points. Jayci Taylor added nine points, and Alexis Phillips’ eight points included two threes.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 56, FAITH CHRISTIAN 39: Addy Lee led the Thunder with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and JCA improved to 9-5 overall, 4-2 in Class 1A, Area 12.
Her night included five 3-pointers. She also had four steals and three assists.
Modasti Carr contributed 17 points, eight rebounds, six steals and three assists. K.B. Hudson added six points to her eight rebounds.
Anna Kate Robertson led Faith with 12 points. Ella Hegeman added nine and Serenity Pate eight.
TALLADEGA 51, ALEXANDRIA 39: Talladega’s Zae Cunningham led all scorers with 21 points, and Destiny Twymon added nine.
Allyssa Hunt led Alexandria with 15 points, including two 3-pointers. Cali Hess added eight points.
RANBURNE 50, COOSA CENTRAL 26: Jadie Phillips scored 14 points, including two 3-pointers, and Ranburne improved to 16-2 overall, 3-0 in Class 2A, Area 8.
Aubrey Anglin’s four 3-pointers accounted for her 12 points, and Brylee Bailey scored eight of her 10 points in the second half.
