Pinto hits 10 3-pointers en route to career-high performance as Piedmont boys roll. Munford, Coosa Christian, Hope Christian boys victorious. Ranburne girls up to 23-2. Cherokee County, Ohatchee roll.

PIEDMONT — Fresh off of attending the Alabama Sports Writers Association football banquet as a finalist for Class 3A back of the year, Piedmont’s Rollie Pinto erupted for a career-high 36 points Tuesday to lead the Bulldogs to a 94–58 rout of Cherokee County.
Pinto hit 10 3-pointers, one regular field goal and four out of five free throws. FIve of his 3-pointers came in the second quarter, and he had at least one in every quarter.
Piedmont hit 19 3-pointers as a team compared to 15 regular field goals. Dylan Oliver hit two, and the Bulldogs got one apiece from Colton Proctor, Ishmael Bethel, Ben Dempsey, Taylon Swain, Judd Pope, Nick Glover and Cole Wilson.
Proctor scored 14 points, and Piedmont (15-6) got nine points apiece from Bethel and Dempsey.
Tatum Perry led Cherokee County with 21 points, including three 3-pointers in the first quarter. Anthony Glass added 18 points.
MUNFORD 53, OHATCHEE 48: Kyler Shaw hit four 3-pointers on the way to 13 points, and Munford avenged and early-season loss to Ohatchee.
B.J. Anderson added 10 points, and Lathan Stephens scored nine.
Ohatchee’s Alston Carroll hit five 3-pointers on the way to 16 points, and four 3-pointers accounted for Hunter Brown’s 12 points.
COOSA CHRISTIAN 68, PLEASANT VALLEY 54: Kylen Johnson poured in 34 points, and Coosa Christian improved to 18-6.
J’Alan Terry hit four 3-pointers to account for his 12 points.
Hunter Sparks paced Pleasant Valley with 20 points, Brody Barnwell added 15, including three 3-pointers.
HOPE CHRISTIAN 53, HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 26: Aziah Amberson scored 20 points, and Hope Christian Academy celebrated senior night with a victory.
Hope honored seniors Eli Bozeman, Garrett Danford, Zion Davis and Van Cottrill. Cottrill added 11 points, and Davis scored six.
Girls
RANBURNE 46, GASTON 44: Jadie Phillips led the way with 17 points, and Ranburne improved to 23-2. Maranda Ralston added 10 points, and Brylee Bailey added nine.
Gaston got 13 points from Charlee Skaggs and 12 from Amauri Bowie.
CHEROKEE COUNTY 63, PIEDMONT 35: Ellisan Givens led the Warriors with 15 points, and Navaeh Gaidurgis added 13.
Cherokee County also got nine points, including two 3-pointers, from Vivian Connell.
Piedmont’s Carson Young hit three 3-pointers on the way to 14 points, and Josie Young added 11 points.
OHATCHEE 42, MUNFORD 23: Payten Walker led Ohatchee with 11 points, and Lindsey Zurchin hit three 3-pointers to account for her nine points.
Munford got 11 points from Lauryn Brewster.
