Pinto, Piedmont continue hot 3-point shooting, but Anniston’s boys prevail to complete sweep. JCA’s boys and girls also sweep to victory.

PIEDMONT — Caleb Ackles poured in 24 points, and Anniston’s boys won 66-60 at Piedmont on Thursday.
Dylan Goodson added 13 points, and Kyree Lewis’ 12 points included two 3-pointers as the Bulldogs improved to 18-4.
Piedmont’s Rollie Pinto, fresh off of a career-high 36-point showing against Cherokee County on Tuesday, hit five 3-pointers en route to 23 points. He’s hit 15 threes in Piedmont’s past two games.
Colton Proctor added 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and Cole Wilson hit three 3-pointers to account for his nine points. Piedmont (15-7) hit 13 3-pointers to make it 32 in its past two games.
Ishmael Bethel also scored nine points.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 66, ASD 42: Jesse Gannaway scored 24 points, and JCA upped to 16-5. He also had five steals and four assists.
Noah Lee had 20 rebounds to go with his 19 points, and Bryson Dowdey scored 12 points.
Girls
ANNISTON 39, PIEDMONT 34: Jada Fomby scored 14 points to lead Anniston (18-6) to victory at Piedmont.
Anniston also got six points apiece from Saniyah Spinks and Yuori Lloyd.
Amiyah Thomas led Piedmont (11-13) with 12 points, and Cayla Brothers hit two 3-pointers on the way to 10 points.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 51, ASD 34: Sophie Williams led JCA (11-7) with 16 points and tied Addy Lee’s team-high six steals.
Lee had 14 assists to go with five rebounds and five points.
K.B. Hudson added 12 points and six rebounds, and Mollie Mullinax added 10 points.
