Jacksonville boys, girls sweep to area championships, boys in double overtime. Glencoe, Anniston boys also clinch area titles.

Class 5A, Area 11 boys
JACKSONVILLE 64, ST. CLAIR COUNTY 56, 2OT: Most valuable player Quinn Weaver hit six 3-pointers on the way to 22 points, and Jacksonville pulled away from St. Clair County in the second overtime to claim the area title.
The Golden Eagles earned the right to play host to a Class 5A Northeast subregional game and will play Area 12 runner up Springville on Saturday. Lincoln will go on the road to play Area 12 champion Hayden.
Jacksonville also got 13 points from Kamouri Harmon and 10 from Aaron Nixon, and Mason Scoggins added nine points.
Jacksonville overcame a 20-point performance by St. Clair County’s Michael Watkins, 14 from Brody Carney and 12 from Lincoln Bozeman.
The all-tournament team included Weaver, Nixon, Sean Herbert and Ben Pridgen from Jacksonville plus St, Clair County’s Watkins, Carney and Brody Lovell.
Class 3A, Area 12 boys
GLENCOE 63, PIEDMONT 56: Tournament MVP Wade Segrest led four Glencoe players in double figures with 18 points, and the Yellow Jackets claimed the area title at Piedmont.
Glencoe (22-5) earned the right to play host to a Class 3A Northeast subregional game and will play host to Area 9 runner up Saks on Saturday. Piedmont (17-8) will play Area 12 champion Weaver on the road.
Segrest’s night included four 3-pointers.
Garrett Morgan hit two 3-pointers on the way to 17 points, and Jayden Patton hit two treys on the way to 10 points. Grant Smith scored 12 points.
Piedmont’s Rollie Pinto scored 19 points, including three of Piedmont’s five 3-pointers. Colton Proctor added 14 points, and Ishmael Bethel scored 12.
Joining Segrest on the all-tournament team were Glencoe’s Bryce Borntrager, Smith, Patton and Morgan, Piedmont’s Pinto, Bethel and Proctor, Ohatchee’s Jake Roberson and Westbrook Christian’s Titus Jones.
Class 4A, Area 8 boys
ANNISTON 52, HANDLEY 45: Anniston’s boys (20-4) won the area title and clinched the right to play host to a Class 4A Northeast subregional game. They will play host to Area 7 runner up Indian Springs on Saturday. Handley will go on rhe road to play Area 7 champion Fairfield.

Class 5A, Area 11 girls
JACKSONVILLE 62, LINCOLN 33: Jayci Taylor led Jacksonville with 14 points, and the Golden Eagles rolled to the area title.
They earned the right to play host to a Class 5A, Northeast subregional game and will play Area 12 runner up Corner on Friday. Lincoln will go on the road to play Area 12 champion Springville.
Taylor also had six assists and three steals.
Neveah Nicholson added 13 points, and MVP Alexis Phillips hit three of five 3-point shots on the way to 10 points.
Mya Swain contributed seven steals to go with six points.
The all-tournament team included Phillips, Taylor, Nicholson, DeAsia Prothro and Ontarriah Braxton from Jacksonville and Lincoln’s Keivondria Blackman, Aubrey Machen and Lariah Robinson.
