Anna Kate Wallace’s time at Donoho was short but productive, and she’ll soon reunite with a very productive former teammate.
The senior striker celebrated her birthday and her signing with the University of Alabama-Huntsville on Wednesday in Donoho School’s library, Once at UAH in the fall, she’ll once again be teammates with former Donoho standout Erin Turley.
“First, I would like to say how grateful I am to have the opportunity to play college soccer,” Wallace said. “Not many people have that opportunity, and I am very blessed to be able to.
“Choosing UAH had to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I chose UAH solely because of how it felt like a second home to me. I knew I was going to be far from home, so I wanted to find somewhere that would feel like home.”

Wallace said UAH has long been on her radar.
‘After one camp, watching one game, and going on one visit, I knew that I wanted to go there,” she said. “What really helped me decide where I was going to go was the way the team genuinely cares about one another, how they get along, as well as the culture and how they all present themselves.
“Another way I knew I wanted to go there was after one of the ID camps I went to. The reason being is because all of the players spoke to me and played with me like they have known me for years. Which is extremely rare to find. Also In the beginning of the year, I went up to visit Erin as well as helping out with the most recent ID camp. Let me just tell you, It was absolutely amazing!”
Wallace transferred to Donoho in sat out the 2023 season because of transfer rules. In 2024, she and Turley helped to lead the Falcons to the Class 1A-3A state final in Huntsville.

“Success is no accident, and Anna Kate Wallace embodies this through her hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and, most importantly, her love for what she does,” Donoho coach Tim Melton said. “As Lionel Messi said, ‘You have to fight to reach your dream. You have to sacrifice and work hard for it,’ and Anna Kate Wallace exemplifies this spirit every step of the way.”
