Oxford tops Piedmont, and Bulldogs edge Hokes Bluff. White Plains baseball, softball win two apiece. Ohatchee, JCA baseball win two apiece. Jacksonville tops PV. Oxford softball wins two of three.

PIEDMONT — Oxford got two RBIs apiece from Rocco Maniscalco, Reid Maniscalco and Jacob Ingram and beat Piedmont 9-2 in Saturday’s high school baseball action.
Rocco and Reid Maniscalco each had a double and scored two runs.
Canaan Whitman doubled with an RBI and scored a run. Nick Richardson and Marcus Lawler each singled and scored a run, and Bryson Bradford hit a double.
Bradford got the win, allowing one hit, one earned run and one walk with three strikeouts in four innings. Rocco Maniscalco struck out three batters with one walk and one hit allowed in one inning of relief.
Piedmont got two hits apiece from Cole Austin, Brayden Estes, Kale Austin and Cole Willson. Wilson, Cole Austin and Kale Austin each had a double.
The Bulldogs got an RBI apiece from Hayes Gunn and Carson Sanders.
PIEDMONT 3, HOKES BLUFF 2: Piedmont’s Brodie Homesley allowed six hits, one earned run and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings, and Kale Austin allowed no hits or runs with two strikeouts in two innings of relief.
Homesley also went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Hayes Gunn had a single and an RBI, and Cole Austin had a single and a run.
Hokes Bluff’s Logan Weiman had a single and two RBIs, and Bryce Whitaker went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs. Anderson Morgan was 2-for-4.
Colten Shields had a solid pitching outing, allowing four hits with no earned runs, one walk and five strikeouts in four innings.
WHITE PLAINS WINS TWQ: White Plains beat Jacksonville 8-3 and Pleasant Valley 11-1 on Saturday, improving to 3-1 on the season.
The Wildcats got two doubles apiece from Aiden Kilgore, Dalton Luker and Luke Richardson against Jacksonville. Richardson was 4-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, Kilgore 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs and Luker 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.
White Plains also got a single and two RBIs from Crew Martin.
Kilgore got the win, allowing five hits, two earned runs and one walk with three strikeouts in six innings.
Jacksonville got a single and two RBIs from Kingston Peeler, and John Ducar had a single and RBI.
Against Pleasant Valley, Richardson allowed four hits and no earned runs with four strikeouts in five innings. Luker went 3-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs.
Ashton Wallace was 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, and Jacob Stamm had a single, two runs and an RBI, Martin had a single, two RBIs and a run.
Logan Laube also drove in a run.
Pleasant Valley’s Jackson Acker had a single and RBI.
JACKSONVILLE 12, PLEASANT VALLEY 2: Also at White Plains, Jacksonville got three RBIs apiece from Jackson Bonner and Sam Parker Wagoner. Bonner was 2-for-4 with two runs, and Wagoner went 1-for-3 with a double.
Parker Moore had a double and two RBIs, and Xaye Lemon was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Easton Lackey hit a solo home run and scored two runs.
Jackson Askew allowed four hits and one earned run with three strikeouts in five innings, and John Ducar pitched a perfect inning in relief.
Pleasant Valley’s Will Underwood doubled and had an RBI.
FAITH CHRISTIAN 8, ANNISTON 2: Faith Christian’s Jayden Smith got the win, striking out 15 batters while allowing three hits and two earned runs in 6 2/3 innings. Canden Martin struck out the final batter.
Smith also went 2-for-3 with a triple, double, three runs and an RBI.
Toby Ricard went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run, and Colton Reese had a double, two RBIs and a run.
Tanner Smith had a single and an RBI, and Martin went 1-for-3 and scored two runs.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 18-16, TALLADEGA 1-0: Noah Lee went 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBIs and three runs in the first game, and Jesse Gannaway had a single and RBI.
The Thunder also got an RBI apiece from Bryson Dowdey and Preston Strawder.
Gannaway pitched a one-hitter, striking out 12 batters over five innings.
In Game 2, Lee went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple and five RBIs with two runs.
Gannaway had a double and an RBIs.
OHATCHEE WINS TWO: The Indians improved to 3-2 on Saturday, beating Wellborn 7-4 and Victory Christian 11-1.
Against Wellborn, Colby Hester had a double, two runs and two RBIs. Brayden Collins and Xavier Luna each had a single and RBI, and the Indians got an RBI from Jake Roberson.
Ethan Jones and Jakson Smith each hit a double, and Smith scored a run.
Drake Kay allowed two hits, five walks and two earned runs with four strikeouts in six innings.
Wellborn’s Liam Avery had a triple and two RBIs, and Cameron O’Brien went 2-for-3 with a double and a run. Tanner Ingram had RBI.
Against Victory Christian, Jones pitched a complete game, striking out 10 batters and allowing one hit and no earned runs in six innings. He also had an RBI.
Roberson went 3-for-4 with three doubles, a run and two RBIs, and Hester was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run.
Kay had a double, three runs and two RBIs, and Hunter Brown went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Softball
OXFORD WINS TWO OF THREE: Oxford opened its season by beating New Hope 8-1, losing to Arab 6-4 and beating Good Hope 4-3.
Against New Hope, Jayla Jackson pitched all four innings, allowing three hits and one earned run with three strikeouts. She also went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run.
Madison Murphy went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run and an RBI. Jordyn Alexander had a triple and an RBI, Emma Tims-Becerra went 3-for-3 with a double and a run.
Murphy went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and an RBI against Arab, and Jackson hit a solo home run. Charleigh Trotter went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Alexander hit a solo home run against Good Hope, and Tymeria Smith-Lindsey had a triple and two RBIs.
WHITE PLAINS WINS TWO: The Wildcats beat Southside 3-1 and New Hope 19-0.
The Wildcats (4-1) pounded out 15 hits in four innings against New Hope. Leighton Arnold went 2-for-2 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs, and Carli Fritts homered while going 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs.
Jaylie Holt doubled while going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs. Callie Richardson and Kylee Provencio each had a double with an RBI. Richardson scored three runs, and Provencio scored one.
Carleigh-Anne Green went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run, and Karli Otwell had a single and an RBI.
Fritts and Green pitched two innings apiece, holding New Hope to two hits.
Against Southside, Arnold allowed no hits with 11 strikeouts in five innings. Provencio had a single and RBI, and the Wildcats got an RBI apiece from Sara-Kate Adams and Anna O’Dell.
