PLEASANT VALLEY — Cailey Almaroad singled with two RBIs, and Lily Henry went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI as Pleasant Valley beat visiting Piedmont in Tuesday’s high school softball action.
The Raiders (7-1) also got a single and RBI apiece from Abby Evans and Hanna Henry. Lilly Robinson went 1-for-4 with two runs, and Alexa Cranmer had a single and a run.
Lily Henry pitched a complete game, allowing five hits, three earned runs and four walks with 10 strikeouts.
Piedmont’s Carson Young went 2-for-4 with a run, and Amarae Champion was 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs. Cacey Brothers had a single and an RBI.
HANDLEY 8, CENTRAL-CLAY 7: Olivia Cobb’s two-run double put Handley up 8–6 in the top of the seventh inning, and the Tigers held on. Cobb finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run,
Rayna Smith went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run. Brayden Watkins went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI, and Riley Bradley was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Central-Clay’s Lakelynn Karr and Analyssa Harris each had a double and an RBI, and the Vols got a single and RBI apiece from Suraya Colburn, Ensleigh Giddens and Lily McCain.
WELLBORN 13, JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 3: Wellborn’s Brylee Ward went 4-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs and three runs.
Ryleigh Smith was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Jaylyn Chattin was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run. Cassidy Gray had a triple, an RBI and a run.’
Destiny Benefield pitched all five innings, allowing six hits, one earned run and one walk with five strikeouts.
Addy Lee went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and the Thunder got a single and RBI apiece from Sophia Williams and Taylor Cash.
MUNFORD 7, CHILDERSBURG 1: Munford’s Kastin Lathem went 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs, and Addyson Britt homered with three RBIs and two runs.
Brooklyn Pressley got the win, allowing three hits, one earned run and no walks with nine strikeouts in three innings. Madison Arnold struck out five batters and allowed two hits, no runs and one walk in three innings.
OHATCHEE 11, RAGLAND 1: Ohatchee’s Jordyn Faulkner pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts. She also had an RBI.
Tabi Davidson had a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Mollee Barnes had a single, three RBIs and a run.
Savannah Reaves went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and the Indians (11-4) got a double and an RBI from Alanah Fitch. Mackenzie Luna added a single and an RBI.
RANDOLPH COUNTY 10, WADLEY 0: Randolph County’s Gracie Robinson and Khloe Yates pitched a combined no-hitter. Robinson worked four innings with seven strikeouts, and Yates struck out three batters in the fifth inning.
Gracie Huckeba went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and an RBI, and Aniyah Lee had a single, two RBIs and a run.
Macie Smith added a double, an RBI and a run, and Hannah Parmer singled, scored a run and had an RBI. Lizzie Milam added a single and RBI.
JACKSONVILLE 18, SAKS 8: Jacksonville’s Harper Atchley went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs.
Dailyn Wood went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs, and Sadee Pate-Whitfield went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Avery Allen was 4-for-4 with four runs and an RBI.
Jaylen Huntley was 2-for-4 with two runs, and Chloe Lockett was 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI.
Raybon Pridgen had a double, a run and an RBI, and Lacey Barnes was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Ana Strain had a triple, two runs and two RBIs.
Saks’ Kendal Harris went 4-for-4 with an RBI, and Ava Snead was 3-for-3 with a double two runs. Caylee Miller went 2-for-5 with two runs.
Raina Zackery and Adrianna Stevens had a single and RBI apiece.
CHEROKEE COUNTY 4, WHITE PLAINS 2: Cherokee County’s Isabella Patterson homered and had three RBIs.
Sofie Dawson went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI, and Brooklynn Bruce doubled and scored a run.
Emma Hill pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts. She allowed five hits and two earned runs with one walk.
White Plains’ Sara-Kate Adams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Karli Otwell had a double and an RBI, and Carli Fritts doubled and scored a run.
Fritts struck out seven batters in four innings. She allowed four hits, three earned runs and two walks.
Leighton Arnold pitched two innings, allowing two hits and one earned run with three strikeouts and no walks.

CHEROKEE COUNTY 16, GLENCOE 6: Cherokee County’s Nate Black went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs.
Adam Griffith went 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, and Luke Young went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Aiden Bobbitt was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.
Carson Tittle went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and the Warriors got a single and RBI apiece from James Hunter and Evan Hill.
Glencoe’s Grant Smith had a single and two RBIs, and the Yellow Jackets got a single and RBI apiece from Jayden Patton and Cooper Gomez.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 6, HANDLEY 2: Cleburne County’s Cade Shubert went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs.
Asher Brown, Hunter Gore and Easton Thompson each had a double and an RBI.
Jacob Pentecost pitched a complete game, allowing four hits, one earned run and one walk with six strikeouts.
Handley got an RBI apiece from Cole Davis and Cordan Patterson.
FAITH CHRISTIAN 17, SAKS 5: Faith Christian’s Toby Ricard went 1-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and three runs, and Canden Martin was 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs.
Dylan Rogers had a double, two RBIs and a run, and Levi Wells added two RBIs and a run. Jayden Smith had a single, three runs and an RBI.
Ricard got the win, allowing seven hits, one earned run and four walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
Saks’ Landen Cordy went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Jacori Avery went 2-for-3 with a run.

Trenton Stringfellow went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Gatlin Watts had a double and two RBIs. Austin Wynn went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs.
Brody Wilson went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Braydon Nichols had a single, a run and an RBI.
Watts got the win, allowing five hits, two earned runs and three walks with seven strikeouts in six innings.
OHATCHEE 12, WELLBORN 6: Ohatchee’s Brayden Collins went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
Ethan Jones was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Alston Carroll had a single and two RBIs, and, and Josh Hulbert was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run. Xavier Luna added two RBIs.
Wellborn’s Dozer Hayes had a single and RBI, and Ashton Woodard had a double and scored two runs. Liam Avery added an RBI.
