OXFORD — Ohatchee got two RBIs apiece from Brayden Collins, Drake Kay, Ethan Jones, Jake Roberson and Josh Hulbert and topped Wellborn 13-3 in Monday’s Spring Experience baseball action at Choccolocco Park.
Roberson led the way, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run. Collins was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs, and Kay was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs.
Jones went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs, and Hulbert was 2-for-4.
Xavier Luna added a single, two runs and an RBI, and Jamie Kennedy added an RBI.
Jones got the win, allowing five hits, two earned runs and three walks with six strikeouts in five innings. Luna pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.
Wellborn’s Zacck Pressley went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, and Dozer Hayes was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
HOPE CHRISTIAN 11-12, CULLMAN 0-0: Hope Christian swept the Cullman Chargers, the Cullman area home-school team, 11-0 and 12-0 in Monday’s AISA baseball action at Cullman.
Hope improved to 11-3, having won 11 of its last 12 games.
Cayden Slick had a single, four RBIs and a run in the first game, and Kainen Bozeman was 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.
Eli Bozeman went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Easten Strickland and Trevor Ryals each went 2-for-4 an an RBI, and Sean Perez was 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI.
In Game 2, Slick pitched Hope’s latest Hope Nope, allowing no hits with four walks and 11 strikeouts in five innings. He also scored two runs and had an RBI.
Eli Bozeman went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs, and Aziah Amberson went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs. Ryals had two singles and two RBIs.
Perez was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Lawson Burns had a single and RBI.
RANBURNE 9, VINCENT 7: Ranburne took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and seventh in the bottom of the sixth.
Drew Davenport went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, and Carter Loren had a single, a run and an RBI. Carson Jones went 2-for-3 with two runs, and Ranburne got an RBI apiece from Sam Davenport and James Ward.
WOODLAND 13, RANDOLPH COUNTY 3: Woodland’s Bradley Brasher went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, and Cade Cross went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Nate Herren had a triple, two runs and an RBI. Andrew Sanchez and Nicholas Sheppard had a single and an RBI. The Bobcats also got an RBI apiece from Robert Morin and Chance Cummings.
Brasher allowed four hits, no walks and one earned run with four strikeouts in five innings.
Randolph County’s Michael Robinson had a single and two RBIs, and Ryder Pinson had a double and an RBI. Rhett Huddleston and Bo Moore each had a single and a run.
Softball
ALEXANDRIA WINS TWO: Playing in the Gulf Coast Classic at Gulf Shores, Alexandria beat St. James 3-2 and Benjamin Russell 12-1 on Monday to improve to 12-2-1.
The Valley Cubs scored all three of their runs against St. James in the first inning on Allyssa Hunt’s two-RBI double and Cali Hess’ RBI single.
Kaden Pritchett went 2-for-3 with a run, and Hunt scored a run.
Pressley Slaton pitched all five innings, allowing three hits, four walks and one earned run with nine strikeouts.
Reece Carr pitched a three-hitter over seven innings against Benjamin Russell, striking out six batters with two walks. She also hit a double.
Charlee Parris led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and a double, three runs and two RBIs.
Pritchett had a single, two RBIs and a run, and Hess was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Brenlee Sparks hit a double and drove in a run, and Slaton and Ryan Lumpkin each had a single, an RBI and a run.
PLEASANT VALLEY WINS TWO: The Raiders (17-1) beat Goodpasture Christian 7-0 and Giles County 5-1 in the Gulf Coast Classic at Gulf Shores.
Haylie Lee got the win against Goodpasture, allowing two hits and one walk with four strikeouts over five innings. She also had a double and two RBIs.
Alexa Cranmer went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI. Lily Henry and Lilly Robinson each went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Hanna Henry added a single and an RBI. Cailey Almaroad singled and scored a run.
Lee got the win against Giles County, allowing one hit, one walk and no earned runs with two strikeouts over four innings. She also went 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs.
Lily Henry went 2-for-3 and scored a run, and Pleasant Valley got a single and run apiece from Cranmer and Aubree Cromer.
SPRING GARDEN 15, COOSA CHRISTIAN 0: Olivia Law homered with two RBIs, and Spring Garden made short work of it, winning in three innings.
Layla Ingram went 2-for-2 with a triple, a double, three runs and two RBIs, and Helena Ingram went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and an RBI.
Addie Word went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Paisley Woodall had a single, two RBIs and a run. R Ham went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Lilly McCain allowed two hits and no walks with two strikeouts over three innings.
WOODLAND 9, RANBURNE 4: Woodland’s Kaitlyn Davidson hit a solo home run and scored two runs.
Alyssa Taylor and Skylar Vann each went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs, and Taylor had an RBI. Railey Williams added an RBI.
Williams got the win, allowing five hits, six walks and two earned runs with 10 strikeouts in seven innings.
Ranburne’s Autumn Lovvorn homered with two RBIs, and Karoline Meadows had a single with an RBI. Peyton Smith added an RBI.
RANDOLPH COUNTY 15, WADLEY 3: Khloe Yates had a single, three RBIs and a run, and Hannah Parmer had a triple with two RBIs and two runs.
Lizzie Milam went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI, and Macie Smith had a double, a run and an RBI. Gracie Robinson went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, and Bryer Thompson had a single, a run and an RBI.
Gracie Huckeba had a single and three runs.
WEAVER 9, GLENCOE 4: Weaver’s Ali Anderson had a single and two RBIs, and Stevie McGinnis went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Reyleigh Partner had a double and an RBI, and Anna Shirvinski had a double and a run. Caitlyn Edmonson singled and scored two runs. Ashlyn Coleman and K Free each singled with one run.
Partner got the win, allowing four hits, two walks and no earned runs with five strikeouts in seven innings.
