In early spring break games, Alexandria softball wins one, ties one in Gulf Shores. Pleasant Valley splits. Three WP pitchers hurl combined one-hitter in Spring Experience. Also, wins for Munford, Woodland and SG softball; Munford, Ranburne, Weaver, Cleburne County and Jacksonville baseball. Donoho girls soccer ups to 11-0.

GULF SHORES — Alexandria’s softball team won one and tied one at the Gulf Coast Classic on Tuesday, beating Summertown 4-2 and tying Collierville 4-4.
The Valley Cubs are 13-2-2 heading into the season’s first Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings, due to be released Thursday.
Reece Carr got the win against Summertown, allowing six hits and two walks with one earned run and four strikeouts. She also hit a single.
Cali Hess went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs. Ryan Lumpkin had a double and two RBIs, and Brenlee Sparks had a single and two RBIs.
Pressley Slaton added a double and a run, and Kaden Pritchett singled and scored a run. Charlee Parris was 2-for-4.
Slaton pitched a solid six innings against Collierville, allowing six hits, two walks and three earned runs with six strikeouts.
Carr was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Parris had a triple and an RBI. Brenlee Sparks was 2-for-3.
Lumpkin singled and scored two runs, and Hess singled with a run.
PLEASANT VALLEY SPLITS: The Raiders lost to Genesco 5-2 and beat Benjamin Russell 6-0 at the Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores, reaching 18-2 headed into the season’s first Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings.
The rankings are due to be released Thursday.
Lily Henry, Haylie Lee and B Grogan combined to pitch a one-hitter against Benjamin Russell. Henry got the win, allowing no hits or runs and two walks with three strikeouts in two innings.
Alexa Cranmer had a double, a run and an RBI, and A Evans added a single, a run and an RBI. Aubree Cromer added a single and an RBI, and the Raiders got an RBI apiece from Cailey Almaroad and Lilly Robinson.
Against Genesco, Lee had a single and an RBI, and Robinson added an RBI. Cranmer singled and scored a run, and Henry scored a run.
Henry pitched a solid five innings, allowing five hits, two walks and no earned runs with three strikeouts.
MUNFORD 20, TALLADEGA 0: Brooklyn Pressley, Madison Arnold and Bayleigh Durham pitched a combined no-hitter as Munford improved to 15-1 while winning in Class 4A, Area 8 play.
Pressley got the win, allowing one walk with five strikeouts in two innings. She also homered and had four runs and three RBIs on the day.
Ashtyn Bishop went 2-for-3 with two triples, four runs and three RBIs, and Arnold was 1-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs.
Chloe Pickette had two doubles with a run and an RBI. Jena Gaither was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Raleigh Dew had a double, a run and an RBI.
Kastin Lathem went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI. Durham added two RBIs, and Addyson Britt and Natalie Garrett added one apiece.
WOODLAND 9, RANDOLPH COUNTY 0: Woodland limited Randolph County to one single and Woodland improved to 13-3.
Maddie Fordham went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run, and Kinsley McDaniel had two RBIs. Alyssa Taylor went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs, and Skylar Vann had a double, a run and an RBI.
Railey Williams went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs, and Emma Elsberry went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Gracie Huckeba had Randolph County’s one hit, a single.
SPRING GARDEN 13, COOSA CHRISTIAN 0: Avery Steward pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks in five innings, and Spring Garden improved to 6-4. She also went 2-for-4 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs.
Maggie Jarrett led Spring Garden at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and four RBIs.
Helena Ingram went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs, and Layla Ingram went 3-for-3 with two doubles, four runs and two RBIs.
Addie Word had a double and two RBIs.
Baseball
WHITE PLAINS 11, WELLBORN 0: Playing in the Spring Experience at Choccolocco Park, White Plains’ Ashton Wallace, Beau Madrigal and Crew Martin combined for a one-hitter as the Wildcats improved to 6-8.
Wallace got the win, allowing no hits and two walks with three strikeouts in three innings. He also went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Luke Richardson had a single and a run to go with a team-high three RBIs, and Brodie Beecham went 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
Dalton Luker was 2-for-2 with a triple and a run. Jacob Stamm and Kingston Eagle had an RBI apiece.
Ashton Woodard had Wellborn’s hit, a single to break up the no-hitter in the top of the fifth inning.
MUNFORD 24, TALLADEGA 1: Gatlin Watts pitched a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts, and Munford improved to 9-4 while winning in Class 4A, Area 8 play. He also had a double, three RBIs and a run.
Austin Wynn added a triple, three RBIs and two runs.
Lathan Stephens went 3-for-4 with a double, four runs and an RBI, and Trenton Stringfellow had a double, three runs and an RBI.
Braydon Nichols was 2-for-2 with an RBI, and, Kyler Shaw was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.
Munford also got a single and RBI apiece from Peyton Nixon, Kane Krafthefer, Braden Finch and Brody Wilson.
RANBURNE 18, CENTRAL-COOSA 1: Drew Davenport and Owen Henderson combined for a one-hitter, and Ranburne improved to 6-9. Davenport struck out six batters with no walks in three innings.
Henderson also had four of Ranburne’s 12 RBIs, going 1-for-2 with a double and a run. Davenport went 1-for-1 with three runs and two RBIs.
Colton Johnson 12 had a double with two RBIs and a run. Cason Jones 24 went 1-for-2 and scored four runs.
WEAVER 17, RAGLAND 0: Weaver’s Ethan Hamilton pitched a one-hitter with seven strikeouts in five innings, and the Bearcats improved to 5-10.
Landon Free and Connor Hyatt led Weaver at the plate with three RBIs apiece. Hyatt was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs, and went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs.
Demarion Whelch went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs. Tracen Jones had a double and scored four runs, and Haiden Hise had a double, two runs and an RBI.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 7, CHEROKEE COUNTY 4: Gavin Robinson and Tyler Rucker each pounded out three of Cleburne County’s 13 hits, and the Tigers improved to 10-4 while winning in Class 4A, Area 12 play.
Rucker went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Robinson was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and one RBI.
Gabriel Wickersham went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Aiden Bobbitt led Cherokee County (9-10) at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run. A Griffith had a single and an RBI.
JACKSONVILLE 3, LINCOLN 2: Jacksonville (10-9) took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and won in Class 5A, Area 11 play.
John Ducar pitched a solid four innings, allowing three hits with four walks and seven strikeouts. Maquire Mallett got the win, and allowing one hit, one walk and no earned runs with two strikeouts in two innings.
Jackson Bonner led the Golden Eagles at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double. Xaye Lemon and Nicholas Johnson each had a single and a run.
Lincoln’s Carson Perez went 2-for-4 with a double. Christian Bean and Brayden Palmore each had a single and an RBI.
Soccer
DONOHO GIRLS 6, WESTMINSTER-OM 2: Anna Kate Wallace scored three goals and dished out two assists, and Class 1A-3A top-ranked Donoho beat Westminster-Oak Mountain 6-2 on Tuesday.
The Falcons improved to 11-0 and upped their season goal differential to 90-5.
Brooke Vandiber had two goals and two assists, and Katelyn McMorris had a goal and an assist. Samantha Wakefied added an assist.
