Smith, Haynes and Coggins lead Alexandria past Donoho in baseball. Glencoe and Pleasant Valley split doubleheader, and Spring Garden wins one of two games. Ranburne softball wins one of two.

ANNISTON — Cooper Smith, Garrett Haynes and Sawyer Coggins drove in two runs apiece, and Alexandria beat Donoho 10-2 on Saturday to improve to 11-9.
Smith and Coggins each had three hits and scored a run, and Haynes had two/. Smith and Haynes each had a double. Jeremy Heathcock also had a double, two runs and an RBI.
Cole Wheeler also had an RBI.
Caleb Frazier got the win, allowing two hits and three walks but no runs with four strikeouts in four innings.
Donoho’s Brayden Johnson homered with two RBIs.
GLENCOE, PLEASANT VALLEY SPLIT: Pleasant Valley won the opener 5-3 at Glencoe, and Glencoe took the second game 6-4.
Pleasant Valley’s Noah Johnson went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, and Peyton Mann had a single and an RBI. Will Underwood went 2-for-4 with a run.
Jake Barnwell got the win, spreading out nine hits with one walk and three earned runs and six strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings. Jackson Acker retired the final two batters, including one strikeout.
Glencoe’s Jake Boggs had a single and an RBI, and the Yellow Jackets got two hits apiece from Bryce Borntrager, Jaxon Hollis and Jayden Patton. Patton and Aiden Johnson had a double apiece.
The second game saw Glencoe score three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead. The rally featured run-scoring singles by Hollis, Luke Johnson and Jace White.
Grant Smith finished 2-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs and a run, and Luke Johnson had a single, an RBI and a run. Patton added a double.
Aiden Johnson got the win, spreading out nine hits and five walks with 12 strikeouts in seven innings.
Pleasant Valley’s Greer Laros had a single and two RBIs. Dallas Roper went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run, and Logan Williams was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Noah Johnson went 2-for-2.
SPRING GARDEN SPLITS: Zane Edwards and Joel Hunter had two RBIs apiece, and Spring Garden beat Weaver 21-3 on Saturday to improve to 8-7.
The Panthers also lost to Dora 10-8.
Edwards went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs against Weaver, and Hunter was 3-for-3 with three runs.
The Panthers also got two RBIs apiece from Connor Bates, Brady Ruark and Hunter Parris. Bates had a double and scored three runs, and Ruark had a triple and a run. Parris scored two runs.
Noah Barber doubled and scored a run.
Carson Bostick got the win, allowing three hits, three walks and one earned run with three strikeouts in four innings.
Weaver’s Tracen Jones had a single and an RBI.
Against Dora, Clayton Sadler had a double and two RBIs, and Hayes Garmon added an RBI. Bates went 3-for-4 with two runs, and Bostick and Hunter had two hits apiece. Grey Simpson went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs.
Softball
RANBURNE SPLITS: The Bulldogs (5-7) beat Cleburne County 10-1 and lost to Central-Clay 7-2.
Karoline Meadows went 2-for-3 with a home run, double and three RBIs against Cleburne County, and Autumn Lovvorn went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, three RBIs and two runs.
Rylann Graham went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs, and Jayla Stewart doubled with three RBIs and a run.
Meadows got the win, allowing four hits, two walks and no earned runs with one strikeout in four innings.
Against Central-Clay, Meadows and Addison Gibbs had a single and an RBI apiece.
Central-Clay’s Lily McCain had two doubles and three RBIs, and Soccara Lopez went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI. The Vols also got an RBI from Addie Wesley, and Suraya Colburn went 2-for-3 with two runs.
