IDER — Tucker Michaels allowed one hit with 11 strikeouts in six innings, and Weaver went on the road to beat Ider 7-0 in Saturday’s high school baseball action.

Gage Brown pitched a scoreless inning as Weaver improved to 7-11.

Carson Campbell went 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Cael Fulmer added a double with two RBIs and a run.

Michaels and Tracen Jones each went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Michaels scored a run. Ethan Hamilton added an RBI.

JACKSONVILLE 7, CENTRAL-CLAY 3: Jackson Bonner had two RBIs and a run, and Jacksonville improved to 11-14.

P Moore went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and the Golden Eagles got a double and RBI from Jackson Askew. John Ducar added a single and an RBI.

Askew got the win, spreading out seven hits, two walks and three earned runs over three innings. Matthew Salmon pitched two perfect innings with a strikeout, and Maguire Mallett allowed one hit and one walk with two strikeouts in two innings.

Central-Clay’s Kalvin Simmons went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and a run. Tyler Boyd and J.T. Wilkerson each had a single and an RBI.

HOKES BLUFF 10, GLENCOE 0: Preston Griffith pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts and two walks over five innings, and Hokes Bluff improved to 14-11.

Colten Shields went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs, and Logan Wiemann added two RBIs and a run.

Bryce Whitaker went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs, and Drew McCarver added a double and a run. Carson Peppers went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and Hokes Bluff got a single and two runs from Glavine Lamberth.

Jace White had Glencoe’s hit, a single.

FYFFE 11, RANBURNE 7: Ranburne’s Owen Henderson had a double, two RBIs and a run, and Drew Davenport added an RBI and a run.

Cason Jones had a double, and Carter Loren and Sam Davenport each had a single and a run.

Softball

ALEXANDRIA SPLITS: MIssing key players who attended prom Saturday, the Valley Cubs (19-4-2) beat Glencoe 3-0 and lost to Sardis 6-5.

Jacee Brooks homered against Sardis and finished the day 1-for-3 with two RBIs. K Robertson doubled with two RBIs and a run.

Ryan Lumpkin doubled with a run and an RBI, and Cali Hess went 2-for-3 with a run.

Against Glencoe, Reece Carr pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts in five innings. She also went 2-for-2 with a run.

Lumpkin had a home run and two RBIs.

OXFORD SPLITS: Playing in the Spring Sting at Choccolocco Park, Oxford (8-10) beat Sylvania 14-2 and lost to Mortimer Jordan 12-8.

Against Sylvania, Jayla Jackson got the win, allowing three hits and no walks with two strikeouts in two innings. She also had a triple and three RBIs.

Kylee Stephens went 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBIs, and Pruitt went 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI. Jordyn Alexander had a triple and two runs, and Madison Murphy had a double and a run.

Emma Tims-Becerra and Cadence Kennedy each had an RBI and two runs, and Tymeria Smith-Lindsey had a run and an RBI.

Jackson went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run against Mortimer Jordan. Alexander and Haleigh Pruitt each had a single and two RBIs, and Tims-Becerra doubled with an RBI and two runs.

Charleigh Trotter added a double and a run. 

WHITE PLAINS SPLITS: Also playing in the Oxford Spring Sting at Choccolocco Park, White Plains (14-9) lost to Saraland 11-1 and beat Pell City 5-4.

Against Pell City, Jaylie Holt went 2-for-3 with two RBIs,and Karlie Otwell went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run. Carli Fritts went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI.

Leighton Arnold got the win, striking out 11 batters while spreading out eight hits and one walk over six innings. She also had a single and an RBI against Saraland, and Kylee Provencio had a single and a run.

RANBURNE GOES 1-2: The Bulldogs (6-9) lost to Central-Clay 7-3 and Horseshoe Bend 12-4 then beat Childersburg 3-2.

A Gibbs pitched a complete game against Childersburg, spreading out seven hits with three strikeouts and one walk.

Rylie Duke had a double and an RBI, and Karoline Meadows added an RBI. K.K. Rollins was 2-for-2 with a double and a run.

Against Horseshoe Bend, Autumn Lovvorn went 3-for-3 with a double and a run, and Rollins went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run. Duke had a double, a run and an RBI, and Carter Martin went 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Shaylie Reaves added a double and a run.

Against Central-Clay, Lovvorn went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and Duke went 2-for-3.

FORT PAYNE 9, PLEASANT VALLEY 4: Pleasant Valley’s Aubree Cromer went 2-for-4 with her first high school home run, three RBIs and two runs as the Raiders fell to 19-7. Ava Washington went 1-for-3 with a double and a run, and Cailey Almaroad added a single and a run.
