WEAVER — Weaver eighth-grader Ashlyn Coleman had a monster game Thursday as Wever beat Wellborn 14-6 in high school softball action.
Coleman went 4-for-5 with two home runs and nine RBIs. She hit a grand slam, a solo home run, a two-RBI single and another run-scoring single. She also drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.
Coleman’s nine RBIs tie her with four other players for the third-highest single-game total in AHSAA fast-pitch history, according to records available at AHSAA.com. Central-Florence’s Candace Arreola tops the list with 11 in one game, and three players had 10.
Anna Shirvinski went 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Stevie McGinnnis and Caitlyn Edmonson each had two hits and an RBI, and Edmonson scored three runs.
Wellborn’s Brylee Ward went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Cassidy Gray went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI. Maci Maxwell went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Jordan Hunt had a double and an RBI, and Hannah Grubbs had a single and an RBI.
ALEXANDRIA 10, LINCOLN 0: Reece Carr pitched a perfect game with six strikeouts over five innings, and Alexandria improved to 30-7-2.
Carr got it done in 60 pitches, including 45 strikes.
She got plenty of run support, with home runs from Pressley Slaton, Allyssa Hunt and Kaden Pritchett.
Slaton went 4-for-4 with a home run, three doubles, three RBIs and two runs, and Hunt went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, four RBIs and three runs. Pritchett went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Charlee Parris tripled with two runs, and BooBoo Bright went 2-for-3 with a run. Brenlee Sparks had a single and an RBI.
PLEASANT VALLEY 7, JACKSONVILLE 1: Alexa Cranmer went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Pleasant Valley upped to 31-11 with a victory at home.
Ellie Patterson went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, and Haylie Lee went 1-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Lee spread out five hits over seven innings and struck out seven batters.
Jacksonville’s Jaylen Huntley had a double and an RBI. Avery Allen and Harper Atchley each went 2-for-3, and Lacey Barnes hit a double. Dailyn Wood singled and scored a run.
WHITE PLAINS 17, CLEBURNE COUNTY 0: Jaylie Holt went 2-for-4 with a double, five RBIs and two runs, and White Plains (18-13) won in Class 4A, Area 12 play.
Karli Otwell went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Sara Kate Adams went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI.
Ella Ponder went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, and Carli Fritts had a single, a run and an RBI.
Ansley Prichard had two runs and two RBIs. Leighton Arnold had an RBI and two runs, and Carleigh-Anne Green added an RBI.
Fritts and Green combined for the shutout. Green pitched three innings, allowing two hits with two strikeouts. Fritts allowed no hits with three strikeouts in two innings.
OHATCHEE 4, GLENCOE 0: Gracie Reed went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Ohatchee (24-10) won in Class 3A, Area 11 play.
Savannah Reaves went 2-for-4 with two runs, and Makayla Brackett added a single and an RBI. Brackett also pitched a complete game, spreading out seven hits with three strikeouts in seven innings.
Glencoe’s Kynsley Freeman went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double, and McKenzi Landers went 3-for-3 with a double. Adyson Owens went 2-for-3.
OXFORD 20, SHADES VALLEY 1: Kylee Stephens went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs, and Oxford (14-14) won in Class 6A, Area 11 play.
Haleigh Pruitt went 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs. Madison Murphy went 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, three runs and an RBI.
Emma Tims-Becerra went 2-for-2 with two triples, two RBIs and two runs.
Koriyah Kizziah and Sophia Ledbetter each had a double, a run and an RBI.
Mariana Becerra pitched a two-hitter with four strikeouts in four innings.
SAKS 19, RAGLAND 5: Ava Snead went 2-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and a run, and Raina Zackery recorded her 100th career strikeout as Saks upped to 7-16-1.
Zackary had five strikeouts in two innings, and Snead got the win with six strikeouts in three innings.
Zackary went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Caylee Miller went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.
Kendal Harris went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, and D’Carol Kidd went 2-for-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI.
A.J. Twymon and Z Fosfer each had a single, a run and an RBI, and Adrianna Stevens went 1-for-2 with two runs.
MUNFORD 6, SYLACAUGA 0: Madison Arnold and Brooklyn Pressley combined to pitch a shutout, and Munford upped to 23-6-1.
Pressley got the win, allowing two hits with six strikeouts over four innings. Arnold allowed six hits with three strikeouts in three innings.
Pressley and Addyson Britt each hit a solo home run, and Jena Gaither went 1-for-1 with a double and two runs. Arnold and Natalie Garrett each had an RBI.
RANBURNE 13, RANDOLPH COUNTY 12: Rylie Duke went 2-for-5 with four RBIs and a run, and Ranburne (12-13) erupted for six runs in the top of the fourth inning and seven runs in the sixth.
Autumn Lovvorn and Aubie Rollins each had two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Karoline Meadows went 2-for-2 with a triple, two RBIs and a run, and Addison Gibbs had a double and an RBI.
Randolph County’s Lizzie Milam went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Khloe Yates went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run, and Gracie Huckeba went 3-for-6 with two runs and two RBIs.
Bryer Thompson went 4-for-4 with a run, and Macie Smith went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run.

OXFORD BOYS 6, PELL CITY 0: Oxford got four goals from Yandel Amador and clinched the Class 6A, Area 11 title. Kevin Martinez and Kevin Reyes added a goal apiece.
WHITE PLAINS BOYS 2, TALLADEGA 0: Jose Ramirez scored both White Plains goals, and the Wildcats recorded a shutout.
WHITE PLAINS GIRLS 3, TALLDEGA 2: Lorali McKenzie scored a hat trick with three goals, and White Plains clinched the Class 4A, Area 5 title, the Wildcats first-ever area title.
