HOOVER — Alexandria split its two games at the Hoover Met Complex on Saturday, losing to Faith Academy 3-2 and beating Ardmore 11-6.
The Valley Cubs stand at 32-8-3 heading into area-tournament play.
Cali Hess and BooBoo Bright led the way at the plate against Ardmore. Hess went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Bright went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.
Reece Carr went 1-for-4 with two RBIs, and Pressley Slaton went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Charlee Parris went 2-for-3 with a run.
Slaton pitched a complete game for the win, giving up seven hits, six walks and six earned runs with six strikeouts.
Brenlee Sparks hit a solo home run against Faith Academy, and Hess had a single and an RBI. Slaton went 2-for-3 with a double, and Ryan Lumpkin had a double.
Carr pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.
PLEASANT VALLEY SPLITS: The Raiders (33-13) beat Spring Garden 10-0 and lost to Spingville 3-2.
Lily Henry and Haylie Lee combined to hold Spring Garden to three hits. Lee got the win, allowing two hits with one strikeout in three innings.
Alexa Cranmer went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run. Aubree Cromer went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Lilly Robinson went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Lee added a single and an RBI.
Lee and Henry combined to hold Springville to five hits. Lee worked six innings, allowing four hits with a strikeout.
Elise Wheeler had a double and an RBI, and Cromer went 2-for-3. Robinson had a single and a run.
MUNFORD 8, WHITE PLAINS 3: Kastin Lathem went 1-for-2 for three RBIs and a run against White Plains, and the Lions improved to 25-7-1.
Ashtyn Bishop had a single and two RBIs, and Bayleigh Durham went 2-for-3.
Addyson Britt went 2-for-2 with a double and two runs, and Brooklyn Pressley went 2-for-2 with two runs. Chloe Prickette went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Madison Arnold got the win, allowing five hits with three strikeouts in three innings.
White Plains’ Karli Otwell homered and drove in two runs, and Emma Tidwell added an RBI.
SOUTHSIDE 9, MUNFORD 1: Southside’s Kadey Barbe went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Bailey Houston went 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and two runs. Anna Chappell went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Rylann Shaw added a double, a run and an RBI.
Paxton Huddleston got the win, allowing nine hits but no walks and one earned run.
Munford’s Addyson Britt went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI, and Madison Arnold went 2-for-2 with a run. Bayleigh Durham went 2-for-2.
RANBURNE 6, WEAVER 3: Autumn Lovvorn homered and drove in three runs, and Ranburne improved to 14-13. She also scored two runs.
Rylie Duke singled and had two RBIs, and Shaylie Reaves and Rylann Graham contributed a double apiece.
Reaves pitched a complete game, allowing five hits, three walks and two earned runs with two strikeouts.
Weaver’s Stevie McGinnis and P McLean each doubled and had an RBI, and Ali Anderson contributed an RBI and a run.
RANDOLPH COUNTY WINS TWO: The Tigers (14-11) beat Childersburg 6-4 and Vincent 15-1.
Hannah Parmer went 1-for-2 with four RBIs against Childersburg, and Kinsley Weathers went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs.
Lizzie Milam went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run. Bryer Thompson went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Gracie Robinson went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run.
Khloe Yates had a single, a run and an RBI. She also pitched all four innings, allowing five hits with three strikeouts.
Against Childersburg, Parmer went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Milam went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
