CEDAR BLUFF — Mackenzie Luna’s RBI double and Reese Steward’s RBI single in the top of the eighth inning put Ohatchee up by two runs, and the Indians held on to beat Cedar Bluff 9-8 on Monday.
The Indians improved to 25-10 on the season.
Steward led the Indians at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Gracie Reed went 2-for-5 with a triple and an RBI, and Jordyn Faulkner went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run, and Luna went 2-for-3 with two doubles, four runs and an RBI.
Savannah Reaves added a single and two RBIs. Tabi Davidson, seeing her first game action since a midseason hand injury, hit a pinch-hit single with an RBI and a run.
Alanah Fitch added a double and two runs.
HANDLEY 10, RANBURNE 5: Handley (17-22) got home runs from Breydan Watkins and Rileigh Bradley.
Bradley went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and a run, and Watkins went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs,
Aliyah Wilson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Keira Addison went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs. Claire Pike added a single, two RBIs and a run, and Tenley Benefield had a single and two runs.
Makenzie McCain got the win, allowing one hit, no runs and no walks in 3 1/3 innings.
Ranburne’s K.K. Rollins and Addison Gibbs each had a single and two RBIs, and Rylann Graham went 2-for-4 with a run. Karoline Meadows added a run and an RBI.
RANDOLPH COUNTY 21, COOSA CENTRAL 5: Hannah Parmer went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs, and Randolph County improved to 15-11.
Gracie Huckeba went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and two RBIs, and Bryer Thompson went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs.
Gracie Robinson went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Lizzie Milam had a single, two RBIs and a run. Aniyah Lee went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, and Kinsley Weathers went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
