SILVER LAKES — Alexandria’s boys shot a combined 24 over par and won the Class 4A, Section 3 tournament on Monday at Silver Lakes.

White Plains took second, nine strokes back at 33 over. Cherokee County (41 over) and Westbrook Christian (49 over) rounded out the top four.

The top four teams plus four individuals not playing for the top four teams advance to next week’s sub-state round.

Alexandria’s Cleat Forrest tied for second at 1-over-par 73, one shot back of low medalist John Carter Massey, from Oneonta. White Plains’ Cam Hurst took fourth at 75.

Individual results for teams that qualified for sub-state are as follows:

ALEXANDRIA: Cleat Forrest 73, Fisher Prichard 77, John Carpenter 79, Jamarcus Stokes 83.

WHITE PLAINS: Cam Hurst 75, Ethan McCareeth 79, Ben Campbell 79, Ethan Turner 88.

CHEROKEE COUNTY: Sam Dreps 79, Asher Ellis 80, Aiden Whitefeld 83, Jack Davis 87.

WESTBROOK CHRISTIAN: J.D. Berndt 78, Max Carr 80, Cove McHugh 85, Brodie Abernathy 88.

CLASS 3A, SECTION 3: Weaver’s boys finished second at Twin Bridges and Piedmont’s third and Weaver to qualify for the sub-state round.

Locust Fork won at 338, followed by Weaver at 346, Piedmont at 347 and Geraldine at 361 to round out the top four. The top four teams plus unattached individuals qualify.

J.B. Pennington’s Ryan Champion was low medalist at 75. Here are individual results for coverage-area teams:

WEAVER: Easton Capps 83, Aiden Hansen 85, Hunter Hise 87, John Curtis Reeves 91, Dylan Brown 91.

PIEDMONT: Caden Wood 77, Noah Farmer 77, Bentley Chandler 94, Jake Smith 99.

CLASS 1A-2A, SECTION 2: Carson Chandler was Donoho’s lone golfer in the field, and he took full advantage of it. He shot a 74 at Cider Ridge and qualified for sub-state as an individual. He finished second overall.

Holy Spirit won the team title at 336, three strokes better than Sumiton Christian. Tuscaloosa Academy (347) and Westminster-Oak Mountain (367) also advanced to sub-state.

Holy Spirit’s Louis Holt was low medalist at 70.
